This is the subject which has sparked enormous controversy for several weeks. Last August, the Minister of National Education, Gabriel Attal, announced that it would be prohibited to come wearing an abaya to a school. For some, it is a distrust of people of the Muslim faith, and for others, a logical decision to enforce secularism at school. In all cases, the subject continues to provoke reactions, whether on social networks or on TV sets.
The proof is that this Monday, September 11, on the set of TPMPCyril Hanouna asked Moundir’s opinion after the latter’s move to Jordan de Luxe, when he indicated that he had “fear for his children”. “We must leave French people of Muslim faith alone. […] For now, from what I see, I am afraid for my children. […] We know the abominable problems in the school system… No teachers, no sport, the establishments, it’s a disaster. And the only thing we get bludgeoned with is girls wearing long dresses and being told ‘you won’t go to school’.”he declared in particular to our colleague.

The abaya, still problematic
Cyril Hanouna’s columnist finally returned to his comments a few hours later, live in the daily newspaper of C8. Particularly when he learned that the Council of State had validated the ban on wearing the abaya to school since September 7. “The veil does not fit into the school. The abaya, for me, is not Islamic. However, if the Council of State has validated this decision, well it (the abaya, editor’s note) does not fit “he finally admitted.
Despite the ban by the Council of State, the subject still arouses just as many reactions, particularly among Amandine Pellissard. Indeed, the former candidate of Large families, life in XXL, has just made a huge rant on his Instagram account this Tuesday. The reason ? The fact that his son was rejected from the high school he applied to. A decision which upset the young mother and who took the opportunity to raise the problem of the abaya during her rant.

“So, any good news then?”wrote the mother in the caption of a screenshot in which she revealed an email from the Montpellier Academy. “You have received a new message from the administration in charge of your file on the ‘Request for assignment to a public high school in Hérault in technological final year'”can we read in the said email, before discovering that bad news awaited Amandine Pellissard and his son. In fact, the latter’s request was refused by the establishment.“Ah well no, but it doesn’t matter, it’s not their fault. The subject of the abaya is much more important than our children left behind on the fringes of the school system”then protested the mother, who recently became a mother for the ninth time, before losing her temper: “Talk about real issues!!! 18,000 high school students without a school. Does that mean anything to you? Thank you National Education!”. A rant thatAmandine Pellissard is undoubtedly not the only one to have grown.
