This Sunday July 3, 2022, Eddy Mitchell celebrated his 80th birthday. And if some celebrities let their loved ones manage everything at the time of their death, the singer has already planned everything to facilitate decisions at the time of his death. Thus, he chose to be buried in Saint-Tropez, where he has lived for thirty-five years, with his wife Muriel. “The more time passes, the more time I spend here in Saint-Tropez, almost half the year” he confessed in an interview with Parisian in 2015.
“Since I discovered it at 17, I have loved Saint-Tropez. Thirty-five years ago, I was lucky enough to be able to buy this pretty house in the middle of the woods thanks to my neighbor. My children enjoy it, my friends too.” he added. The artist has thus decided that his final resting place will be the city’s marine cemetery.
During this interview, his wife Muriel also had an appointment at the cemetery to “take care of our concession” revealed the singer. “Me, I would prefer to be charred, but my children want to meditate on a grave. So, as long as it is, it might as well be here.” he explained honestly. The 80-year-old singer is the father of three children, namely Eddy and Marilyn born from his marriage to Françoise Lavit and Pamela, born from his love affair with Muriel.
And we note that the singer will be buried alongside a huge star: “Muriel is delighted, we will have the concession next to Barclay” he rejoiced. Eddy Mitchell will therefore be placed next to the one who was his producer for several years. In 2005, he had also carried his coffin with another of his famous friends: Johnny Hallyday.
