The debate around the four-day week is back in the news. This configuration, which already exists in Spain, has attracted some presidential candidates, who intend to put it into force in France.
The offices of some companies are sparse due to standardized teleworking and the shift to a 4-day week. This new provision implemented in a French company seems to be unanimous among employees. Some parents are happy to be able to take advantage of Wednesday to stay with their children. This change to 4 days does not change their salary or their workload. “During work, I could go on the Internet and watch things that were a little more personal than professional”, testifies an employee who feels more productive thanks to this change.
This provision concerns all areas, and sometimes requires more versatility on the part of the employees. However, this solution remains advantageous for everyone. The absenteeism rate has been halved since its adoption.
