For its 34th edition, the festival of “Périgord pourpre, the musical summer in Bergerac” once again invites many headliners and renowned personalities in their artistic field.
“The creed and the vocation of this festival is to mix genres”, recalls Marc Chisson, its creator and artistic director. This edition is no exception to the rule with varied artistic proposals. “The magnificent sites on which we operate can afford to host concerts or recitals of classical music, variety concerts, dance or theatre.”
From hip-hop to Biron
This Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 9:30 p.m., a Hip-Hop company takes possession of the courtyard of the Château de Biron. In Dance N’ Speak Easy, the company Wanted Posse revisits the era of prohibition in the United States. Singing and burlesque situations combine to the rhythm of these artists, world champions of Hip-hop.

Rhoda Scott is considered the greatest organist in the world. With her instrument, the Hammond organ, the American virtuoso offers Biron, this Monday, August 8, a Jazz concert for women. The one who improvises like no other is accompanied for this Périgord concert by musicians only.
