The Australian second line of the Stadium, Richie Arnold, was suspended for four weeks by the Disciplinary Committee of the National Rugby League for “dangerous play”, the LNR announced on Wednesday. Arnold was sent off in the 52nd minute of his team’s match in Pau, on the 3rd day of the Top 14, for a high tackle on the opposing third line Lekima Tagitagivalu. Stade Toulousain, current leader of the championship, had conceded that evening its only defeat of the season so far (26-16).
Automatically suspended for the reception of Racing 92 last weekend, Arnold will also miss the matches of the Red and Black against Montpellier, Clermont and Brive. He will be allowed to play again for the clash against La RochelleEuropean champion, on Sunday 23 October at the Ernest-Wallon stadium.
