From July 19 to 24, 2022, Haras de Tarbes is hosting the 26th edition of the Equestria Festival. Canceled in 2020, and in a greatly reduced format in 2021, this 2022 edition marks the great return of this event, with a new, more intimate and more festive concept.
Free admission and many activities
First big change this year, entry to the site is free. The opportunity for the public to discover the many activities offered as part of the festival, whether equestrian, musical or street arts.
A large festive space will bring together bodegas, bars and restaurants and will be accessible during opening hours, weekdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and weekends from noon. What to enjoy the event with family or friends in the magnificent setting that is the Haras de Tarbes.
3 shows
Another novelty this year, there will not be one but three shows offered to the public.
- “Davaï”, the one proposed by the Jeholc company mixes the world of horses and that of the circus, with 14 Comtois stallions ridden by acrobats. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
- “A.Bois”, the show proposed by the company Tempo d’Eole mixes theater and horse riding, in a very poetic show and in tune with the times, since it is about ecology. It will take place from Tuesday to Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Shows offered in intimate tents with 200 to 500 seats, and at very affordable prices, below 20€.
- The highlight of the festival is the show given by Jean-François Pignon, the world famous wild horse trainer. Every evening at 9 p.m., he will show all his talent under the merry-go-round for the happiness of all. His performance will be followed by the broadcast of his latest film, which traces the training of four horses in their natural environment, in total freedom, on the Patagonian lands of Florent Pagny. Evenings that will end with a debate with Jean-François Pignon.
