I was behind competitors, I turned at the buoy and suddenly, I no longer saw anyone and I was told that the race is over. The last info I got was that there were five laps to go.”, said tricolor swimmer Axel Reymond. In the sea, the competitors showed some form of annoyance. On the beach, the French supporters booed the organization.
Julien Issoulié, DTN of French swimming, saw the Blues return with a cautious air: “We didn’t have the slightest information. During the technical meeting, they had indicated that if the race had to be stopped, the coaches would be notified one lap before, but there was no information there. recent history, we have never seen that”, he reported.
