The 18-year-old young man, suspected of being the author of the murder of a retired couple in Combres (Eure-et-Loir) last Tuesday, was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention, indicates the prosecution of Chartres, Saturday April 13, in a press release.

This young man was taken into police custody this Thursday and quickly admitted to having killed this retired couple. The police were informed on Wednesday of the discovery of the bodies of two retirees in the garden of their second home. They had several stab wounds, as well as swollen faces. The investigation then made it possible to trace the suspect, an 18-year-old young man living with his parents, 200 meters from the victims’ property.

Kill “to vent your anger”

In police custody, the suspect explained that he had argued with his father over a difference in food. Angry, he left his house and passing his neighbors’ house, he attacked the couple, “with an oyster knife type knife”, found by investigators. He then returned home and went to bed after watching a video.

In its press release, the Chartres public prosecutor’s office indicates that during his custody, the suspect explained “having attacked first the gentleman then, then the lady when she was leaving her house”. He also said he wanted to kill “to vent his anger”. “The blows – multiple and significant – carried with the knife but also the kicks, particularly to the faces, corresponded to the medico-legal findings made during the autopsies”he finishes.
