The 13-year-old teenager, suspected of having hit a police officer after refusing to comply in Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Monday April 15, was placed under judicial supervision and will be summoned later before the children’s court, France Bleu Béarn Bigorre reports on Wednesday.

“This judicial review was requested by the prosecution, because given the young age of the accused (13 years), no other security measure was possible”specified the public prosecutor of Pau, Rodolphe Jarry.

A Pyrénées-Atlantiques national police officer was hit by a scooter after refusing to comply on Monday. In the afternoon, the police wanted to arrest the two-wheeler during an urban rodeo. The driver was riding a hooded and helmetless scooter on a stolen scooter, according to the Alliance Police Nationale union. The driver managed to escape. He was eventually arrested, but tried to flee again. It was at this moment that he violently hit a civil servant, who now suffers from a double fracture, according to the police.
