Jean-Jacques Bourdin is the subject of a complaint for attempted sexual assault as explained by our colleagues from Le Parisien, this Saturday, January 15, 2022. A journalist who worked in the editorial staff of BFMTV and RMC indeed filed a complaint this Tuesday, January 11, 2022 against the famous journalist and host.
“I’m no longer a scared young journalist to lose my job and I know that I did not have to go through what I went through. […] For years, I went to work with fear in my stomach, completely stressed. I am filing a complaint with the conviction that other women are concerned and that this will perhaps allow other women to speak out” explains the complainant who waited 10 years before filing this complaint which is still being studied by the Paris prosecutor’s office at the present time.
According to the revelations of the Parisian, the facts date from 2013. The then 25-year-old complainant was invited to go to a petanque tournament in Calvi, Corsica, by Alain Weill, the boss of BFMTV at the time. She then learns that Jean-Jacques Bourdin will be present and then hesitates to go there because, a few months earlier, she was dismissed from the journalist’s team because of “permanent professional conflicts between them“.
She ends up going to the event and the whole chain team stays in the same hotel in Calvi. One morning, when she goes to the swimming pool of the establishment, she would have been joined by Jean-Jacques Bourdin… who begins to pay her compliments. He then attempts a rapprochement before grabbing her by the neck to kiss her by force. The plaintiff would have struggled firmly when she had no feet and would have managed to get out of the pool. “I always get what I want” would have launched the journalist to him.
The young woman then explains that he would have continued to make advances to her by email and SMS. Still according to Le Parien, she could have provided proof of just one of these messages which says: “You tempt me every morning… I like your look”. Contacted by Le Parisien this Saturday, January 15, 2022, Jean-Jacques Bourdin denied the journalist’s accusations as a whole, while acknowledging that he remembered her as a collaborator. “I know this person, and I worked with her. I admit having bathed with her in the swimming pool of this hotel. But I never tried to forcefully kiss her or anyone else.”
