Thanks to a first victory at home, the Berri takes the lead in the championship

They will have made their supporters wait but the game was worth it. This Tuesday evening in a staggered match of the 7th day of the National Championship, and on the occasion of their 4th home game, the players of La Berri have finally unlocked their counter of victories at home this season. By winning 1-0 against Dunkirk, Châteauroux in a bad position in the championship before the meeting (12th) took the lead in the standings. Nothing decisive, of course, in this ultra tight championship but, in any case, much better for the morale of the troops.

Ange Ahoussou: first tenure, first goal

It was a young rookie from the off-season who gave Châteauroux the victory. Ange Ahoussou, 18, established for the first time in blue and red, scored the only goal of the game from a corner kick taken by Gilles Sunu.

The Northerners reduced to 10 in stride after the expulsion of Christina Senneville, following a nudge on Sunu in the 21st, however, did not deserve but never managed to come back.

La Berri therefore takes the opportunity to take first place on equal points with Concarneau, Avranches and precisely Dunkirk.

Among its 3 teams is precisely the next opponent of La Berri: Concarneau. The Berrichons will face the Bretons at home for a clash at the top next Monday (October 3) at 6:30 p.m.
