So you are retiring! You worked so hard at the Beaubien, at the Cinéma du Parc and at the Cinéma du Musée… You deserve this retirement! And you will be difficult to replace!
When I became the Member for Gouin, we got to know each other. I supported your projects as best I could. I admired your passion for auteur cinema. And the cinema in the room! These are passions that we share.
I’ve seen you work tirelessly to find the best films, give pride of place to Quebec cinema, organize events, manage three cinemas! Our entire neighborhood owes you. It’s so pleasant to say to yourself: “And if we go to the Beaubien? On foot, by bus, by bike… This room is so accessible!
Mario, as you know, my whole blended family is a fan of you and Beaubien. My boyfriend and I often took our grandchildren to FIFEM. A great way to open the hearts and minds of children to a cinema other than American, a cinema from Quebec or other countries.
Thank you, dear Mario, for all this work accomplished with such generosity. And may the soul of Beaubien live long! Good retirement !
