Canal+, a subsidiary of Vivendi, announced on Friday September 2 that it would give up broadcasting the free channels of the TF1 group (TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Séries Films and LCI) in mainland France due to commercial requirements deemed too high by the subsidiary of Bouygues. In a statement, the encrypted channel denounced “unfounded and unreasonable demands” of TF1 as part of the renewal of the distribution contract between the two parties.
