The Franceinfo teams collected the testimony of a former Israeli officer who went to the site of the rave party where more than 250 festival-goers lost their lives.
He is a man facing horror. On the morning of October 7, Eran Massas was one of the first officers to arrive at the scene of the rave party massacre. “My brother called me. He told me I had to go, something serious happened”, he specifies. Gun in one hand, phone in the other, he films his intervention. “It was like a horror movie, there were dead bodies everywhere”he says.
A massacre that haunts
He finds five survivors and shelters them in a nearby kibbutz. He also sees barbarity, notably several charred bodies. “It changed everything for us. It changed Israel”says Eran Massas. “Every day here, new testimonies and images of the attack emerge. A month after October 7, this massacre continues to haunt everyone’s minds”concludes Ben Barnier, special correspondent.
