Isild Le Besco reveals the abuse she allegedly suffered from director Benoît Jacquot, with whom she had a relationship. “This will perhaps influence the courts to revisit the definition of rape. There is rape of the mind above all”, explains Isild Le Besco. Once opposed to the idea of ​​filing a complaint, the actress finally changed her mind and hopes to change laws and mentalities. Contacted, Benoît Jacquot’s lawyer recalls that the director disputes the facts described by the actress.

In addition to Benoît Jacquot, Isild Le Besco spoke out at the beginning of February against another director, Jacques Doillon, of whom she denounces a form of sexual blackmail committed in 2000, when she hoped to star in the film Directly to the westreleased the following year. “When I refused to sleep with him, he removed me from the project and gave the role to his daughter”, she accuses. Jacques Doillon, who is also accused of rape and sexual assault by actresses Judith Godrèche and Anna Mouglalis, has denied all of these allegations.
