I have lived in the United States for over 25 years. Since my retirement, four years ago, I come to spend my summers in Quebec, with a pied-à-terre in Blainville. Every year, I am surprised by the deterioration of Quebec’s roads.
This year, it no longer makes sense as the roads have become dangerous.
Not just because of the potholes or ostriches (depending on the size!), but also because of the “rails” in the asphalt that push our car from left to right!
The Sûreté du Québec is doing an advertising blitz saying that it would be more present on the roads during the summer period. I hope she does this with the intention of protecting citizens driving on dangerously unacceptable roads and not to collect tickets…because it is impossible to drive fast on such roads without risking being pushed into the decor ! If I had an RV, I would never go to visit Quebec… it would be too exhausting to keep control of the vehicle! That’s not a vacation!
