Tesla recently updated its map showing the location of the various Supercharger stations around the world, including those to come and the expected date of entry into service.
In Quebec, the network should experience significant expansion, at least if there are no further delays in the Californian manufacturer’s plans. Indeed, some stations have been postponed for the first time from 2021 to 2022.
As can be seen in the image below, Tesla plans to add stations from Abitibi-Témiscamingue to Gaspésie via Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and Chaudière-Appalaches. Areas around the greater Montreal area such as the Laurentians and Montérégie are also in Tesla’s sights. There is still this plan to connect the metropolis to Quebec with additional stations both on the side of highway 40 and highway 20, then to go around Gaspésie by the 132.

The majority of new locations are targeting opening in the second half of 2022, but a few could be ready in the coming weeks.
Recall that Tesla’s global network has grown from 23,277 Supercharger terminals in 2,564 stations in 2020 to 31,498 Supercharger terminals in 3,476 stations at the end of 2021. The company wants nothing less than to triple the number of terminals available in the years to come.
Last summer, Tesla announced the upcoming deployment of faster terminals (280, 300 and even 350 kilowatts), in addition to promising access to all electric vehicle drivers. The initiative recently started as a pilot project in the Netherlands, Norway and France.
