The Tesla has been the best-selling electric car in the world since the start of the year. The G7 taxi company has decided to suspend it, a precaution taken after an accident on Saturday December 11 in Paris, which left one dead.

Saturday December 11, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, a taxi driver, traveling personally, lost control of his car. It struck two people, as well as a container for glasses which exploded under the violence of the shock, and a signal fire, projected into the air. An investigation was opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office, which indicates a provisional toll of one dead and 20 injured.

The circumstances of the taxi accident remain to be clarified. The G7 platform, which employs the driver, has stopped its taxis of the same model, a Tesla Model 3, very popular in France and adopted by the company’s 37 drivers. According to the driver, the brake pedal was no longer responding. Some witnesses described a car being driven at full speed. The American manufacturer claims for its part that “The initial analysis of the data does not reveal any technical failure of the vehicle”.
