An 81-year-old man is suspected of strangling his partner to death last Saturday. The body of the 79-year-old woman was found lifeless in the room of a residence for the elderly in Terrebonne.
Police officers from the Terrebonne/Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines/Bois-des-Filion Intermunicipal Police Department went to an establishment on rue Yves-Blais around 6 p.m. According to initial information, two people were found inert in one of the rooms of the residence.
The death of a 79-year-old woman was noted on site, the police said. A man is also located. Unconscious, he is taken care of by paramedics. “This 81-year-old man is considered a suspect in this event and is currently under police surveillance in hospital. To date, the suspect is still unconscious and in stable condition,” police explained in a press release.
