Terrebonne | A woman was allegedly killed by her partner

A woman was killed Friday morning in Terrebonne, in Lanaudière. Her partner was arrested in this case and is expected to appear in connection with the murder.



Authorities have not specified the relationship between the victim and the suspect. According to our information, the man arrested by investigators is the spouse of Marie-Claude Raymond, the 51-year-old woman whose death was noted Friday morning.

Terrebonne police responded to her home around 7 a.m. on rue du Bocage, in the La Plaine sector.

On site, officers discovered his inert body.

The Intermunicipal Police Service of Terrebonne, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Bois-des-Filion then confirmed that a suspect, a man, was arrested in this case.

For the moment, the police refuse to comment on the context surrounding the death and limit themselves to speaking of a “suspicious death”.

Investigators and forensic identification technicians are on site to analyze the evidence and shed light on the sequence of events.

A security perimeter has already been set up and the investigation continues.
