Storm Ciaran, which is due to hit the maritime coast of the west and north of France from Wednesday, will disrupt rail traffic. It will be interrupted on Thursday “on all TER lines in the Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Normandy and Centre-Val de Loire regions”, announced Tuesday, October 31, the SNCF. TER traffic will also be at a standstill in Hauts-de-France, announced the “TER Hauts-de-France” account on X.

Only the Paris Bercy-Nevers line will run normally, specifies the SNCF in this message to users, evoking a “exceptional meteorological event”. Météo-France expects wind gusts of up to 170 km/h during this storm which will hit the north-western quarter of France.
