The “clear position” of the PCF, PS and EELV
Returning to the tensions within the Nupes regarding the declarations of LFIFabien Roussel indicated: “On this drama which is happening today in the Middle East, the position of the PCF, of the Socialist Party (P.S.)from Europe Ecology-The Greens (EELV) is clear. We together condemned a terrorist act, and we said it as such.”. The national secretary of the PCF then said “to regret” that “Jean-Luc Mélenchon and some rebellious deputies (…) (did) not have this clear position”.
Questioned more broadly on reviews of the rebellious leader towards his partners in the NupesFabien Roussel declared: “I think it is up to Jean-Luc Mélenchon to clarify his position and to clarify his relationships with the other left-wing forces.” “If he’s not happy, let him go. (…) It’s up to him to leave this gathering if he doesn’t get there.”estimated the national secretary of the PCF.
