Tennis Club Val de Dronne sensitive to the environment

The Val de Dronne tennis club is the result of the grouping of former tennis clubs which were in the town of Celles, Saint-Méard de Dronne, Tocane and Lisle. There are between 130 to 150 licensees today explains to us Jean Remi Demarteauthe treasurer of the Tennis-Club Val de Garonne.

A tennis club with a great environmental initiative.

Always with the aim of offering the best possible service to their licensees, the Tennis Club Val de Dronne has built a building to cover a tennis court with photovoltaic panels on the roof in Celles.

“We researched how we could build this building at a lower cost” underlines Jean-Didier Andrieux, the mayor of the commune of Celles

It is a subsidiary of the company Total la Marengo which built this building with photovoltaic panels. The municipality of Celles granted him a emphyteutic lease with the instruction to build a closed and lit building. Aid from the state and the region has been received. This is where the ecological and sport transition plan comes into play. The department also supported the French Tennis Federation, the tennis club and of course the municipality, the project manager.
