Flight MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014 without a trace. Ten years later, the victims’ relatives are waiting for answers, even though only some debris from the plane has been found.

The passengers of the Malaysia Airlines 370 disappeared with their flight on March 8, 2014. The plane disappeared with 239 people on board. Since then, neither black box, nor wreckage, nor body has been found. The mystery remains unsolved and is untenable for loved ones. “We still don’t know what happened to the plane”, regrets Grace Nathan, close to someone who disappeared from flight MH370. That day, the Boeing 777 took off from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to Beijing (China). 39 minutes later, the communications systems were manually deactivated. The aircraft turns around, then crashes into the Indian Ocean.

Extensive searches yielded no results.

Did the pilot commit suicide? The plane’s route seems designed to escape all surveillance. “Everything was done to leave no trace”, assures Patrick Blelly, former captain. A breakdown or an uncontrolled fire are other hypotheses. Despite the unprecedented resources mobilized, the research did not yield any results. Several pieces of debris belonging to the plane were later found on the coasts of Reunion and Mozambique.
