On Wednesday April 13, a group of French and Belgians was victim from a car accident in Egypt. There are ten dead, including four French. A dozen people were also injured.

A carcass of charred scrap, in the middle of the desert: it’s all that remains of the tourist bus that hit another vehicle in southern Egypt on the morning of Wednesday, April 13. A collision in which ten people died: five Egyptians, four French, and one Belgian. In footage shot shortly after the accident, the front of the bus is seen in flames. Despite the heat escaping from the blaze, two men equipped with small extinguishers try to intervene. But, a few minutes later, the bus completely bursts into flames.

According to preliminary elements of the investigation, the bus would have collided with a pick-up on the road between the Egyptian cities of Abu Simbel and Aswan. Besides the ten killed, at least 14 people were injured, according to the director of the Aswan hospital. According to the governor of the Aswan region, the accidental track is for the moment privileged. The speed of the vehicles could be to blame.
