Ten new centers for LGBT+ people will see the light of day in France, announces Isabelle Rome

Isabelle Rome, Minister Delegate in charge of Gender Equality and Diversity, unveiled, in the columns of the Parisiana plan to fight against discrimination against LGBT+ people, of which France Télévisions has become aware.

By 2027, ten new centers for LGBT+ people will open, in addition to the 35 existing centres, the minister announced. These creations of centers will be made possible thanks to a new envelope of 10 million euros, which should be added to the 3 million euros already announced last summer.

A circular for parents of intersex children

From the start of the next school year, children in school, raised by couples of men or women will be able to specify that they have two dads or two moms. DThe ambassadors will also be trained in LGBT + issues, to fight against bullying at school, further detailed the minister.

From 2026, the exclusion from stadiums of authors of homophobic remarks could be pronounced by judges, added the minister. A training plan for various trades on the issue of discrimination against LGBT+ people should accompany this measure.

Finally, Elisabeth Rome announced, still in the columns of the Parisianthe publication of a circular “from this year” to present to the parents of intersex children, that is to say children born with visible sexual ambiguity, all the existing therapeutic options.
