Ten of the sixteen candidates have won their ticket to the final, which will take place in the same city on Saturday.
These are Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Poland, Australia, Armenia, and Slovenia. On the other hand, Denmark, Romania, Greece, Iceland, Georgia and San Marino had to say goodbye to their dream of victory.
Twenty-six candidates will face off on Saturday
In addition, ten countries had already qualified in the previous semi-final on Tuesday: Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Moldova, Israel, Switzerland, Croatia, Portugal, Serbia and Norway.
As a reminder, France is one of the “big Five”, that is to say the five countries automatically qualified for the final, because they are the biggest financial contributors to the competition. The country that won the last edition – Ukraine – is also automatically qualified. In total, they will therefore be 26 to compete on Saturday evening.
