Telegram boss Pavel Durov is also the subject of an investigation for “serious violence” against one of his children in Paris, franceinfo learned on Wednesday, August 28 from a source close to the case. This investigation was entrusted to the Office for Minors (Ofmin) for acts allegedly committed against a son of the Franco-Russian billionaire born in 2017. The child now lives in Switzerland with his mother. Also according to a source close to the case, the ex-partner filed a complaint in 2023, in Switzerland, against Pavel Durov, accusing him of violence against one of his children.
Pavel Durov, aged 39, was arrested on Saturday evening in the Bourget airport terminal and taken into custody as part of another investigation. The courts are accusing Pavel Durov of not taking action against the criminal use of his messaging by his subscribers, in particular through a lack of moderation and collaboration with investigators.
