Telefilm Canada will contribute nearly $660,000 to the digitization and restoration of Canadian films.




initiative Canadian Cinema — Rekindling the Flame will fund the digitization and/or restoration of 23 Canadian works, including In the moonlight (1983), Two actresses (1993), Fires (2010) and Mr. Lazhar (2011).

The films were selected on the basis of their cultural relevance, their importance in Canadian cinematic history and their potential for commercial exploitation.
