The return : The true nature

To launch this new season of intimate conversations at the chalet, Jean-Philippe Dion receives – for an hour and a half – the members of the Salebarbes group: Jean-François Breau, Jonathan Painchaud, Éloi Painchaud, Kevin McIntyre and George Belliveau. As for the following episodes, here is what we remember from the three minutes of trailer: Faro continues to provide a canine presence, Dominic Paquet opens up about his father, Christine Morency paddles with more or less ease, when Joe Bocan swings, she doesn’t go there halfway, Marie-Claude Savard and Dominique Anglade join the non-select club of guests who will have shed tears at the chalet, and the opening of a bottle of bubbles seems to make Clodine Desrochers very insecure .

The throw of the dice: Celebrity Name That Tune

Randy Jackson and Jane Krakowski at the helm of the musical game Celebrity Name That Tune

Those who miss Fa if sing it, this 1990s musical quiz hosted by Patrick Bourgeois and presented on Radio-Canada, will be happy to learn that Fox has resurrected its original format. The concept is super simple: recognize a song from a limited number of notes. On paper, this show has everything to please the music lover in us. But most of the time, the experience turns out to be frustrating. The star contestants are particularly bad (are the producers purposely inviting celebrities who look like they’ve never turned on the radio?), and Jane Krakowski’s hosting is rather beige and stuck. Despite everything, we hang on to our feet regularly.

The special: The Matrixevening 25e birthday

PHOTO PROVIDED BY PLANETE+

Keanu Reeves in The Matrix

The matrix will celebrate its quarter century this spring. To mark this anniversary, Planète+ presents an evening dedicated to the cult feature film by the Wachowski sisters. This mini-festival begins with Matrix – Generation, an hour-long documentary that surgically deciphers the pop culture phenomenon that this science fiction masterpiece has become: the themes it explores (use of technology, questions of gender and identity…), its influence, its aesthetics, etc. Then, we dive into the world of actor Keanu Reeves (aka Neo) with Keanu Reeves – Pop Messiah, a show that tells the story of his atypical journey. And now all that’s left to do is find our old DVD of the film to complete the loop.

Movie theater : Bread Hustlers

Amit Shah, Emily Blunt and Chris Evans in Bread Hustlers

Certainly, its release is not new (we are talking about the month of October), but we wanted to put this film forward because in the middle of the gala season, it remains strangely (at least, from our point of view) of sight) completely absent from conversations. Inspired by real events, this offering from David Yates (Harry Potter) denounces the attitude of the pharmaceutical industry which thinks it can do anything in the United States by telling the story of Liza Drake (marvelous Emily Blunt), a broke mother who gets a job selling opioids. Bread Hustlers (in French Pain merchants) combines comedy, drama, satire and suspense, and boasts excellent performances from actors including Catherine O’Hara, Andy Garcia and Chris Evans.
