The event: Nelly Arcan – The fury of what I think
To mark International Women’s Rights Day, Télé-Québec presents this special one-hour program devoted to the work of Nelly Arcan, who would have celebrated her 50e birthday last Sunday. We are talking about a “collage” type show in which seven actresses – and not just any: Christine Beaulieu, Sophie Cadieux, Larissa Corriveau, Évelyne de la Chenelière, Julie Le Breton, Johanne Haberlin and Anne Thériault – take excerpts highlights drawn from the writings of the provocative and mysterious author, who committed suicide in 2009. The theatrical performances are interspersed with exchanges with the actresses, who comment on the subject. A realization of Patricia Beaulieu and Rafaël Ouellet.
Télé-Québec, Wednesday at 8 p.m. (rebroadcast Friday at 11:30 p.m.)
The return : A boy a girl
Since the many adaptations ofA boy a girl continue to achieve success abroad more than 25 years after the hatching of the original work in Quebec, no one should be surprised that Guy A. Lepage decided to resuscitate his fictional couple with Sylvie Léonard, the time of four episodes. After all, the formula still works, because every time we catch a replay on ICI Télé, we finish the episode with pleasure. The trailer circulating online suggests much more than just a nostalgic trip. The situations faced by the characters seem well anchored in 2023. If A boy a girl succeeds in his return, all hopes are allowed for The little life.
ICI Tou.TV Extra, from Thursday (one episode per week)
