The novelty

Without an appointment

The phrase “walk-in” likely brings back bad memories for those who spent their holiday season lining up outside their pharmacy to pick up rapid COVID-19 tests. Corn Without an appointment, comedy, will make you forget this difficult period. Starring Magalie Lépine-Blondeau as a nurse-sexologist, this adaptation of an Australian web series addresses sexuality without taboos. It’s funny, benevolent (the trending word of 2021) and deliciously transgressive. Although we have already devoured it on ICI TOU.TV Extra, we renew our prescription without hesitation. Because two doses is much better than one.

On ICI Télé, Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Red bracelets

Other than a trailer uploaded before Christmas, no images from the series The red bracelets did not filter. The press screening takes place this Monday afternoon, while we are waiting for the broadcast of the first episode on Tuesday evening. In other words, it’s hard to know if this series directed by Yan England is worth the detour. One thing is certain: the excerpts unveiled foreshadow a sensitive drama that tells the daily life of hospitalized adolescents. It is an adaptation of a Spanish format created by Albert Espinosa, who lived in hospital from 14 to 24 years old while battling cancer.

At TVA, Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The Dufour-Lapointe sisters: From one dream to another

As for specialty channels, this documentary series comes at the right time, a month before the opening of the Beijing Olympics. Produced by KOTV (I have a question with Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Skate straight ahead with P. K. Subban), From one dream to another depicts, in 8 episodes of 30 minutes, the extraordinary daily life of three exceptional athletes: Olympic freestyle ski athletes Maxime, Justine and Chloé Dufour-Lapointe. The series is directed by Maude Sabbagh, to whom we owe several other quality documentaries, including Coming out stories, To do useful work and Facing the street.

At Canal Vie, Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Benoît McGinnis in Another story

Breakout finals abounded in December. We think in particular of All the life, Alerts, The breakaway and District 31. The outcome ofAnother story did not leave his place either. The less patient have probably already watched the suite, offered on the ICI TOU.TV Extra. Without disclosing anything, note that the action resumes immediately after the altercation between Steeve (Francis Ducharme) and Sébastien (Benoît McGinnis), while Anémone (Marina Orsini) sees her son, handcuffed, entering a police car. What happened ? Is Steeve still alive? Does Sébastien risk jail? The episode quickly answers all of these questions.

On ICI Télé, Monday at 8 p.m.
