The surprise

I love juice

After Completely high school And Soly Club, author and director Alec Pronovost signs (with Samuel Cantin) this web series which deserves your attention. It mixes all kinds of disparate genres (true crime, mockumentary, satirical comedy, infomercial), but surprisingly, it works. Our many bursts of laughter bear witness to this. I love juice relates the journey of Mathieux Mailloux (convincing François Ruel-Côté), an incompetent but enthusiastic teenage entrepreneur, who takes a professional turn by becoming a representative for Zoop, an energy drink company. In secondary roles, Éric Robidoux (as a pretentious investigative journalist) and Peter Miller (as a former star hockey player recycled into an unscrupulous and vulgar business boss) shine.

The Chiefs ! – The confrontation

PHOTO MARC-ANDRÉ LAPIERRE, PROVIDED BY RADIO-CANADA

Guillaume, Anthony and Luca face each other in the final of the Chiefs.

After a semi-final punctuated by moments of extreme tension between Élyse Marquis and Jean-Luc Boulay (courtesy of chou-et-perdrix-gate) and intense emotions for Isabelle (due to Suzy’s departure), the final of Chefs looks epidermal. We remain perplexed by the theme of the ultimate test (the four elements: earth, fire, water and air), but since this star season is keeping its promises so far, we would be surprised to ‘being dissapointed. A prediction? Luca’s natural coolness will supplant Guillaume’s control and Anthony’s growing hyperexcitement. Note that another final will be broadcast at the same time, that of Traitors by Karine Vanasse at Noovo.

ICI Télé, Monday at 8 p.m.

The special

It’s a good end to the week

PHOTO PROVIDED BY TVA

Julie Bélanger and Jean-Michel Anctil receive Gino Chouinard (center) at It’s a good end to the week.

As we suspect, TVA will pull out all the stops to highlight the departure of Hi hello by Gino Chouinard, who will host his last show on Friday June 21, after 21 years of loyal service. (We detect a theme here.) The celebrations will kick off in It’s a good end to the week with Julie Bélanger and Jean-Michel Anctil. The tandem will receive Dave Morissette, Ève-Marie Lortie, Josée Lavigueur, Sabrina Cournoyer, Mathieu Roy, Charles-Antoine Sinotte, Philippe Vincent-Foisy and Géraldine Lamarche. For his part, Fabien Cloutier will be responsible for the well-cooked food, which we predict is nice. In musical performance: Ingrid St-Pierre and Christian Marc Gendron.

TVA, Sunday at 7 p.m.

It was only a matter of time before a channel offered Marthe Laverdière her own television show. In recent years, the horticulturist/massage therapist/florist/comedian has collaborated on several talk shows and service magazines, including Good evening on ICI Télé and Hi hello to VAT. In this series produced by Encore (The candidate, Leo) in collaboration with Quebecor Content, the good living gardens with different personalities, including Mélissa Bédard, Jean-Philippe Dion, Debbie Lynch-White, Sophie Prégent, Nathalie Simard and Rosalie Vaillancourt. This first season begins with Guy Jodoin, a self-proclaimed “plant freak”. Warning: the host and her guest come close to hyperventilating several times from laughing so much.
