The safe bet: The Chiefs !

After a season under high tension (we thank the anxiety-provoking musical atmosphere, the nervous editing, the reactions of Élyse Marquis when Adrian cut himself or dropped a plate with a crash), on 11e winner of Chiefs! is crowned. In the ultimate test, the four finalists have carte blanche to present a gourmet menu including a cold starter, a main course, as well as a dessert, which Jean-Luc Boulay probably hopes to be generous. Little spoiler: the candidates will learn that they will also have to concoct a hot starter of stuffed pasta. Once they have served their two starters, the one with the lowest score will immediately leave the kitchen, without having the opportunity to complete their challenge. Just thinking about it, we are already stressed.

The documentary : Rodolphe Forget, precursor of Quebec inc.

Bernard Derome in Rodolphe Forget, precursor of Quebec inc.

Eight years later The great means, a series in which they examined Quebecers’ relationship to money, director Marie-Hélène Grenier and Bernard Derome team up again to paint the portrait of a successful businessman, politician, financier, philanthropist and little-known builder. The former Radio-Canada anchor sets the table perfectly at the opening of the documentary by declaring: “For a long time, Quebec Francophones were made to believe that their economic history began in the 1960s and that before that, everything is only misery and darkness. Rodolphe Forget tells us another story. »

Rehearsal of the National Day show

After two years of pandemic, we are witnessing the return of the big show in Montreal. Presented on Radio-Canada, the event hosted by Pierre-Yves Lord will bring together Patrice Michaud, Alicia Moffet, Jay Scott, Sarahmée, Les Louanges, FouKi, Ariane Roy, Katia Rock, Roxane Bruneau and Michel Pagliaro. Our remote may overheat because at the same time, Télé-Québec will broadcast the great show of Quebec, which will bring together Salebarbes, Richard Séguin, Marjo, Sara Dufour, Florent Vollant, Mélissa Bédard, Jérôme 50, Laura Niquay, Breen Lebœuf, Scott -Pien Picard and Lou-Adriane Cassidy.

The novelty : Amy Schumer Presents: Parental Advisory

Amy Schumer

While waiting for her to come solo in Montreal later this summer, we find Amy Schumer at the helm of a show during which she receives her “favorite comedians”. During her time on stage, the stand-up comedian and actress takes the opportunity to reveal a joke she couldn’t tell at the Oscars. After hearing it, we understand why! Slightly disjointed due to the range of comedians it brings together (including Lil Rel Howery, Chris Distefano and Rachel Feinstein), this evening captured in Los Angeles in the spring has some good moments. Some of them come from Jaye McBride, a transgender comedian who is famous for describing his transition.
