The safe bet: OD Martinique
The only romantic reality show to which we remain faithful, year after year, is finally back on the air. Admittedly, singles in bathing suits from the island of love piqued our curiosity for a while, but they never flickered our flame for Double occupation. That’s why we’re waiting for the red carpetOD Martinique with great impatience, especially since we are promised something new this fall: the girls will have to fish out the candidates blind. While waiting for this traditional kick-off, know that we present, every evening until Thursday, the underside of the show, from the unveiling of the houses to the process of recruiting participants.
Noovo, Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
The novelty : Anna and Arnaud
Due to the deluge of new releases hitting the air over the next few weeks, we haven’t yet found the time to watch the episodes ofAnna and Arnaud that TVA sent us last week. But on paper, it’s hard to see how this free adaptation of Francine Ruel’s novel, which tells how her son became homeless, could miss the target. We are still talking about a talented director, Louis Bélanger (gas bar blues) and a pair of superior actors, Guylaine Tremblay (Unit 9) and Nico Racicot (The blue Hour). The trailer hints at a heartbreaking series. All hopes are allowed.
VAT, Tuesday at 8 p.m.
The event: Primetime Emmy Awards

In addition to 37are Gémeaux awards, which will be broadcast on Sunday on ICI ARTV (opening gala hosted by Nicolas Ouellet in the afternoon) and ICI Télé (main gala hosted by Véronique Cloutier in the evening), you will have another ceremony to watch: that of the Primetime Emmy Awards. Hosted by Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), the great celebration of the American small screen will be presented live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Everything indicates that it will be a fine evening for Successionwhich leads the way with 25 selections, ahead of Ted Lasso and The White Lotustied with 20 selections each.
NBC and CTV, Mondays at 8 p.m.
Catching up: the trilogy of Lord of the Rings
According to the many comments and criticisms that we have been collecting over the past two weeks, power ringsa series derived from Lord of the Rings, does not enthuse many people on Prime Video. For now, at least. Let’s bet that at the price that each episode cost, Amazon undoubtedly made sure that it was a quality production. But while waiting for the ambitious fiction to take off, lovers of the fantastic universe of JRR Tolkien can fall back on something familiar: the three films of Peter Jackson. Released in the early 2000s, they’ve just landed on Crave as a regular release. The platform also offers the trilogy of Hobbit in long and cinema versions.
