Tele-radar | Our suggestions of the week

Every week, The Press scans the TV offer to identify four titles to watch.

The return : Lou and Sophie

Dude, our favorite series of 2021 finally returns. In this sequel of six episodes written by Yannick Éthier (The cottage, The perfect moments) and directed by Sandra Coppola and Félix Tétreault, our two heroines, always brilliantly portrayed by Jade Charbonneau and Zeneb Blanchet, continue their quest for freedom with Dolorès, their old Cadillac. The car also deserves to appear in the credits of the show, so much does it play an important role in the story. This second season is off to a slow start for Lou and Sophie, who take advantage of a stay in Baie-des-Chaleurs to practice their favorite activities: drinking, smoking jar and play Scrabble.

The roll of the dice : With no plan!

With no plan!

In this production of Zone 3 directed by Jason Roy Léveillée which could have been called Guillaume and Emily complicate their lives, Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge and Émily Bégin begin the construction of a tiny house in the center of nowhere, in a place without electricity accessible only by boat. The eight-episode trailer hints at a series closer to documentary than renovation magazine. We hear Emily say in particular: “You will be able to follow us in all our other crazy, crazy, crazy projects. “Is the impromptu appearance of Guillaume in Gemini part of the” crazy projects “of which the host and singer speaks? We ignore it. One thing is certain, the series will show images of the couple’s wedding, to satisfy the curious.

suspicions

If you haven’t watched this fascinating HBO miniseries yet, now is your chance. Inspired by a true story dating back to the early 2000s, this eight-part thriller takes us back to the case of Michael Peterson, this author of detective novels and aspiring politician accused of having murdered his wife, found dead in their house, in the foot of the stairs, North Carolina. To our amazement, suspicions (in English, The Staircase) went through the gala season without winning a single prize. And yet, Colin Firth and Toni Colette deliver vibrant performances. To see, even if you have already watched the French documentary series of the same name, released in 2004.

Vrak, starting Monday, at 9 p.m.

We may be part of an endangered species, but we keep listening to award ceremonies, even when they promise to last 3 hours 30 minutes, like this 65e annual Grammy Awards party. So far, the Academy has confirmed Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Steve Lacy, Lizzo (pictured), Kim Petras and Sam Smith to attend. The gala will be led by comedian Trevor Noah, who will return to the spotlight, two months after leaving the animation of the Daily Show. As for the finalists, Beyoncé leads the way with nine quotes, ahead of Kendrick Lamar, Adele and Harry Styles. We will also watch Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who gets five nominations.

CBS and Citytv, Sundays, 8 p.m.
