My mother

My mother

Critics warmly hailed Chantal Fontaine’s performance in this miniseries by authors Anne Boyer and Michel D’Astous. With reason. The actress marries strength and vulnerability to play – with great accuracy – a bipolar mother who tries to pay the piper after having spent several years sowing chaos around her. We should also highlight the work of the actors who play his children, Rachel Graton, Steve Gagnon and Marilyn Castonguay. This week, the dramatic crescendo continues between Valérie and Chantal. The latter confides to Dominique (Sonia Vachon) that she feels that she is getting dangerously close to the precipice.
