Doctors François Marquis, Éric Gagnon and Nathalie Zan from Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal will be back for this season airing later this year, but 4 of the 12 episodes will focus on what’s happening in the health in the regions, more specifically at the Le Royer hospital in Baie-Comeau on the North Shore, as well as at the Maria hospital and the CLSC in Murdochville, in Gaspésie.
The objective is to discover the reality of family physicians and specialists who work in a context where resources are limited. For advanced care, recalls the production, it is sometimes necessary to evacuate patients by air ambulance to the big cities.
On call 24/7 is also a finalist again for the award ceremony, on April 26, of the New York TV & Film Festivals Awards, in the “Documentary – Social Issue” category. This is the third time the show has been featured in this event, where it has already won bronze and silver medals.
