Tuesday November 21, 9 people were arrested in the investigation into the attack on Crépol, in Drôme. They are suspected of having stabbed young people and security guards during a village ball on Saturday November 18, causing the death of a 16-year-old teenager and several injuries.

In a parking lot in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), this afternoon of Tuesday, November 21, seven individuals were arrested by men from the GIGN. Investigators believe they intended to flee to Spain. According to witnesses, the suspects were in a car. They were arrested nearly 500 km from Crépol (Drôme), where a violent attack took place during the night from Saturday to Sunday, during an evening at the village hall.

Attempted escape

Among those arrested was a 20-year-old French man, residing in the center of Romans-sur-Isère. He is suspected of fatally stabbing 16-year-old Thomas. His home was placed under surveillance, investigators were able to follow his escape attempt. Amateur videos and more than a hundred interviews allowed the gendarmes to identify several suspects. Some witnesses say they noticed strange behavior starting in the middle of the evening.
