This is the end of a soap opera that has held the whole of France in suspense. The 17-year-old girl wanted in Mayenne earlier this week finally recognizes “to have lied, not to have been kidnapped and to have gone on foot to Sablé-sur-Sarthe”, announces the public prosecutor Céline Maigné, Friday, November 12. The teenager explained to investigators that her injuries were “of accidental origin” and she “would notably have cut out his T-shirt with a pair of scissors”, specifies the press release. The young woman has “added to be sorry to have caused an important mobilization”.
“This young woman is currently in the care of her parents who have been informed of her statements”, further specifies the prosecutor, after the new hearing of the high school student by the investigators, Friday, which made it possible to reveal the truth. The teenager “will be the subject of a procedure for denunciation of imaginary infringement. The investigation will require gathering the elements relating to his personality, likely to shed light on the reasons for his behavior for the moment unexplained.”
Intense searches had been carried out for more than 24 hours, after the report, Monday at 6:40 p.m., of her supposed disappearance in Saint-Brice (Mayenne), while she had gone for a jog near the forest of Bellebranche. The young woman had given signs of life again the next day, in a kebab in Sablé-sur-Sarthe (Sarthe), about ten kilometers away. In her first statements to investigators, Lisa had recounted being abducted by two men who were traveling in a green van. She also claimed to have been kidnapped before she managed to escape them.
In their neighborhood investigation, the gendarmes asked the residents if they had seen this vehicle, but without convincing results. DThe dog teams were also seen on Thursday at his home and in the streets of downtown Sablé-sur-Sarthe, without effect there either. At the time of hearing the young woman again, Friday, theThe gendarmes therefore wanted to learn more about the precise nature of the physical violence suffered and the physical description of his captors.
The confession of the teenager made it possible to clarify the gray areas of an investigation which mobilized, Tuesday afternoon, jup to 200 gendarmes. As of Friday, around thirty of them were still working on the case. “She had us well, she put us in anguish, in fear for 24 hours”, reacted the mayor of Saint-Brice, André Boisseau, to France Bleu Mayenne. “I don’t really understand his gesture, it’s still serious. On the other hand, I’m relieved that we can resume a normal life”.
