Cooper once again embodies a musician, the legendary composer Leonard Bernstein, to whom we owe the music of West Side Story. The actress Carey Mulligan stars as his wife Felicia Montealegre, while Maya Hawke plays his daughter.
Netflix, which produces Maestrounveiled Monday the first images of the film which will be both in color as well as in black and white.
Maestro was initially to be carried out by Steven Spielberg, but the latter instead made the remake of West Side Story.
The film will focus on the particular conditions of the romantic relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre who had three children.
Currently filming, Maestro should be released in 2023.
