The economics and management teacher filed a complaint after being injured by a student.

A teacher at the Frédéric Faÿs high school in Villeurbanne, in the Rhône, filed a complaint on Monday, September 23 after being injured by a student last Friday, franceinfo learned on Tuesday from the Lyon rectorate and from a source close to the case.
According to the rectorate, contacted Tuesday morning, this economics and management teacher confiscated the disruptive student’s phone last Friday. It was following this confiscation that the student hit his teacher in the nose and chest. According to a source close to the case, the teacher was prescribed eight days of ITT (temporary total interruption).
The Lyon rectorate specifies that the teacher went to file a complaint with the principal on Monday evening. “The student is prohibited from entering the school” while awaiting his disciplinary board, the same source said. A rally in support of the teacher is planned for Tuesday morning.
