Taylor Swift’s new album has exceeded one billion listens less than a week after its release, Spotify announced on X, Wednesday April 24. The Tortured Poets Department (The circle of tortured poets) has already established itself as the most listened to album in a week on the audio streaming platform.

The American singer released her eleventh opus last Friday. On the day of its release, it had already become the most listened to album in one day on Spotify, with 300 million plays.

The Tortured Poets Department is not an album but a double album that fans of the pop star had the pleasure of discovering. A surprise XXL version. Barely two hours after the first titles, 15 others appeared as if by magic, panicking the “Swifties”. “I’ve been writing a lot of tortured poetry over the last couple of years and I wanted to share it all with you, so here is the second part of TTPD: The Anthology”posted the 34-year-old star to explain.

In two hours, she looks back on her romantic disappointments and exorcises her demons, a recipe that makes her successful. Earlier this year, Taylor Swift became the first artist to become a billionaire solely from her music.
