The American singer has spoken out for the first time about the terrorist threats that led to the cancellation of three of her concerts in early August.

“It was devastating that our Vienna concerts were cancelled.” On her Instagram account, American singer Taylor Swift reacted for the first time on Wednesday, August 21, to the cancellation of three dates of her European tour in the Austrian capital, at the beginning of August. This was decided after the Austrian police discovered a plan for an Islamist attack.
Three suspects have been arrested. The main oneaged 19, had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and “made full confessions”according to Austrian intelligence.
“The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a huge amount of guilt, because so many people had planned to come to these concerts.”Taylor Swift wrote in her post. The singer said “very grateful to the authorities, because thanks to them we mourned concerts and not lives”.
Highly sought after in the media after these cancellations, Taylor Swift had until now kept silent and put her social networks on hold. An absence that she justifies in this message, explaining that she preferred to wait until the end of her European tour. “I will not speak publicly about something if I think it might provoke those who would harm the fans who come to my concerts” she explained.
After these five concerts under high surveillance at Wembley Stadium in London, the world star is preparing to fly to the very last concerts of his Eras Tour in Canada.
