The attacker set off an explosive device in a taxi parked outside a Liverpool hospital (UK).
If the assailant was killed instantly, the driver was able to leave his vehicle before it caught fire. Injured and hospitalized, he was able to return home. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called him a hero. Regarding the investigation, four people, potential accomplices, were arrested and two houses were searched. The UK Home Office has raised the level of terrorist threat. As a reminder, a months ago, a British MP had been stabbed to death in his parliamentary office.
