Tax reduction: what impact on your portfolio?

In 2023, the first income bracket of the scale is up to $49,275, the second ranges from $49,275 to $98,540, the third from $98,540 to $119,910, and the fourth applies over $119,910.

The only non-refundable credits considered by our calculator are the basic personal amount and the amount for a person living alone. In the case of spouses, the “transfer of credit from one spouse to the other” is also considered.

The Coalition avenir Québec also promises to lower taxes by 0.25 percentage point per year until 2032, for an additional reduction of 1.5 points. This measurement is not taken into account by the computer. Last year, the CAQ improved the tax credit for support for seniors aged 70 and over. Since the measure was already applied in 2022, it was also not included in this calculation.

This calculator does not include the enhancement to the transportation component of the non-refundable solidarity tax credit introduced in Budget 2023-2024.
