If, instead of a health tax for the unvaccinated, the government increased the existing health contribution for everyone and then offered a tax credit for the vaccinated, wouldn’t we have a fairer system, easier to manage? In the sense that the left behind, the homeless, the welfare recipients, the “illegals”… would not be affected. The amount would be proportional to income and would surely have other egalitarian, ethical and legal benefits. The principle of the tax credit exists and it is not illegal, it seems to me. Unfortunately, that would not end the pandemic…
