Tasting | Manifesto fair for rosé wines

On Saturday, at Bar Suzanne, there will be a nice event in the form of a rosé tasting.

About twenty wine representation agencies will be present to “sound the alarm and call on the SAQ to relax its storage rules by spring,” reads the press release.

Frequent delivery delays meant that several rosés were only released in the fall, the time of year when many consumers turn more to red.

Agencies have 150 days to sell their inventory, after which they will have to pay storage fees, followed by seizures and possible destruction of the goods at 211e day. Certainly, they can buy back their own stock, but do not have the right to resell it.

In short, let’s sacrifice ourselves to save all these beautiful artisan rosés!

Le Salon rose is held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Bar Suzanne, in Montreal.
