The Tango started their final of the French championship playoffs in the best possible way. For this first round, the Berruyères dominated the LDLC ASVEL. It will take two more victories to pocket the title of champions of France: the final is played in three winning sets.
Bourges at the level
Bourges answered present for a match of this stake. Led in the first quarter (20-21), Olivier Lafargue’s players quickly recovered in the direction of travel, helped in particular by an Isabelle Yacoubou of the great evenings (23 points).
Asvel also delivered a high-flying performance, never giving up despite the very warm atmosphere of the Prado room. A field that the Lyonnaises know well, however, since six of them have worn the Berruyères colors.
No overconfidence
No time to rejoice too much for the Tangos, which follow very quickly. The second round will take place on Tuesday May 31, still in Bourges, at 8:45 p.m. Moreover, during the quarter and semi-finals of these playoffs, the Berruyères won the first match, before losing in the second. But in the previous rounds, the second game was away.
