Tamusi Angiyou | Prisoner escapes from Federal Training Center in Laval

(Laval) A prisoner from the Federal Training Centre in Laval has been missing since Friday evening.


Tamusi Angiyou was in the minimum security unit when staff noticed her missing during an inmate count at 10:45 p.m.

The Laval Police Department (SPL) and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) were notified by the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC).

The 51-year-old man is now the subject of an arrest warrant.

Tamusi Angiyou is 165 cm (5 ft 5 in) tall and weighs 65 kg (144 lbs). He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair, although he is almost bald.

A particular feature of the wanted man is that two of his fingers have been amputated at their tips, his right middle and ring fingers. He also has visible tattoos, including a cannabis leaf and a totem on his right arm.

Tamusi Angiyou was serving a sentence for second-degree murder, kidnapping, use of a firearm and sexual assault.

Anyone with information about this individual is asked to contact the Sûreté du Québec.

An internal investigation by the Correctional Service of Canada is also underway and the CSC assures that it is collaborating with the police in the hope of arresting the inmate.
